The Texas Department of State Health Services offers two online education coures for medical and legal professionals. These online training modules offer high quality training at the user's convenience, in a self-paced format.
For Medical Professionals
This link will take you to www.organdonored.org, where you will need to set up a username and password to enroll in an existing course for medical professionals. The goal of this course is to introduce health care providers to a range of information about organ, tissue and eye donation, so they can knowledgable discuss donation with patients.
For Attorneys
Once you become a registered user of this Web site, you are automatically enrolled in Organ Donation Training for Attorneys. To begin the course, select "course" from the above menu. The goal of this course is to introduce legal professionals to federal and state laws governing organ, tissue and eye donation.
